1.
“For this child I prayed; therefore he is given to the
Lord.” 1 Samuel Ch.1. This is part of the vow made by Hannah, the
mother of Samuel, just after he was born.
This forms part of the reading for Sunday morning’s family Eucharist this
Sunday – please come and support our children at All Saints. The service
starts at 11.15. Be
there! Bingo; A huge thank you to the PTA members who ran this
new event last Saturday. It was a great
success and I am sure we will run it again albeit with some modifications. 2.
Heath News: The younger sibling of a Pulford child
has been diagnosed with scarlet fever. The symptoms start with a sore throat
or skin infection & fever. The rash appears 12-48 hours after the fever.
If you are concerned please consult your doctor or NHS Direct. 3.
Advance notice of additional training day: Due to the
government direct new primary curriculum for 2011 we will be having an
additional training day on Thursday September 2nd 2010. Children
will return to school on Friday September 3rd., 4.
Exciting News: Watch this space and note in your
diaries that the w/c 21-25 June will be science & history week with many
activities to tie in with the schools 300th anniversary. 5. World Book Day: Thank you to everyone who donated.
We are sending £97.44 to World Vision. 6. Stacey Major who runs Little Saints before and
after school club is completing her Level 3 NVQ in play work. She needs to
complete observations on children as part of her coursework evidence. If for
any reason you would prefer that your child is not observed please let her
know before the Easter holidays. Thank you. 7. Leighton Fun Runners and Leighton Buzzard athletics
club invite you to come to Tiddenfoot lake to do your Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile. It’s £2 per child. See www.sportrelief.com/the-mile/leighton-buzzard-mile
8. We were able to send £33.09 to KidsOut recently, following the
Candlemas service. They were very grateful; the money was used to purchase a toy
box for a family that had been the victim of domestic violence. |

9. 10. Football: This will restart after school next
week as follows: Thursday Year 3, Fridays for Years 1, 2 and 4. If your child
